Our Vision

A Bridge Between
Antiquity & the Present

Alexandria Library & Printing House is a traditional academic publishing imprint devoted to the belief that the great works of religious thought, philosophy, and literary imagination deserve to be encountered in their fullest material form—printed on fine paper, bound with care, and designed to endure. We publish for readers who seek substance over speed, permanence over novelty.

Alexandria exists for the work of intellectual renewal—the recovery of serious Christian thought and its address to the church, the academy, and the wider culture. We are a home for books that connect theology, philosophy, science, and culture in a single conversation, and for ideas that illuminate the mind and truths that endure beyond the moment.

The Alexandria Library is an academic publishing imprint devoted to thoughtful scholarship, philosophical inquiry, and interdisciplinary works that bridge classical wisdom and contemporary thought. Through books, journals, and enduring partnerships with leading scholars, we seek to cultivate meaningful dialogue that serves both the academy and the broader public.

Editorial Stewardship

Alexandria Press is advised by an interdisciplinary board of scholars, clergy, philosophers, and academic leaders whose collective expertise helps shape the intellectual vision, editorial standards, and scholarly integrity of the press.

The Printing House

The Press & the Printed Page

We work in the tradition of the great university and ecclesiastical presses — typography drawn from the humanist past, papers chosen for opacity and longevity, and bindings made to be opened daily for a lifetime.

From acquisition through pressroom, each title passes through the hands of editors, designers, and printers who consider the book a unified artifact: prose, page, and binding in concert.

Editorial Method

How a Book Comes Into Being

Each publication follows a rigorous editorial process designed to preserve intellectual integrity while bringing important works to readers efficiently and beautifully.

  1. 01

    Manuscript Selection

Each work is chosen through a deliberate process of scholarly review, ensuring only texts of enduring significance enter the Alexandria canon.

  2. 02

    Streamlined Editorial Process

By cutting the overhead of traditional publishing bureaucracy, Alexandria moves manuscripts from acquisition to finished edition faster and with greater precision than conventional presses. Our lean editorial workflow pairs each author directly with a senior editor, removing unnecessary layers while maintaining exacting standards of scholarship and prose. The result: cleaner books, produced with speed and integrity.

  3. 03

    Editors & Editorial Board

Alexandria is guided by a distinguished editorial board comprising theologians, philosophers, classicists, and educators. Each submission receives the sustained attention of a dedicated editor whose expertise matches the subject matter. Our board ensures that every volume meets the highest standards of accuracy, accessibility, and intellectual integrity.
